Short-term Small Business Association Loan Incentive for Franchise Purchase Ends September 27

Limited time program provides reduced fees and potential for big savings for entrepreneurs ready to own a smoothie franchise

As we understand it, new SBA loans funded before September 27, 2020, may have the payments — principal, interest and fees — forgiven for a six month period. One of the lenders, DCV Franchise Group, has stated this is not a deferral of six months, but rather a true forgiveness of payments. Moreover, there will be no SBA guarantee fees included in new loans before Sept. 27 for this program, which may save franchisees several thousands of dollars depending upon the amount of their loan. To qualify for these savings, a franchisee must have their franchise agreement signed, lease signed and be approved by the lender so the time is now to act before it is too late. As always, a franchisee should check with their SBA lender to ensure the benefits are still available before acting.
