Area developer and franchisee is committed to the people and product behind the growing smoothie franchise

Planet Smoothie® Area Developer Ali Kader is a passionate ambassador for the brand going on seven years strong. The Tampa area businessman is always seeking new franchisees who are as excited about owning their own business and growing with Planet Smoothie as he is.

“I am always on the lookout for new owners of all ages. I am seeing a lot of millennials and people nearing retirement interested in our brand, as well as veterans. Older individuals want a business to operate after they retire, while millennials and younger entrepreneurs are attracted to the idea of owning their own business, running it along with their current job, and then two to three years later quitting their job to make Planet Smoothie their full time commitment,” Kader says.

Not only is Planet Smoothie an appealing business for all ages, but it is a great food business that doesn’t require restaurant expertise. Kader tells of a young woman working in IT who researched the Planet Smoothie brand and approached him in 2016 about ownership. He went through the onboarding process with her and she is now up and running and doing very well. It’s the kind of story he prides himself on.

Kader joined Planet Smoothie first as an area developer and then he became a franchisee himself. His area currently has nine stores and Kader sees the potential for as many as 25 to 30 locations in the greater Tampa area. He has owned up to four of the locations in his region at one point and now owns one Planet Smoothie location which he uses as a training hub for the Planet Smoothie team in Tampa, as well as for other franchise owners.
