In addition to training at corporate headquarters, Planet Smoothie also sends highly qualified trainers to the new franchise to work with staff up to, and then through, the first few days of opening. They are available for return visits to tweak any issues that come up in those busy early weeks.
“Training for a Planet Smoothie franchise is not ‘one and done,’” John explains. “The initial training is very comprehensive, covering everything from smoothie preparation, product handling and sanitation procedures to customer service and operating the point-of-sale system. We also recommend that a franchise owner or manager return every year for refresher training because no good operating system stands still. Planet Smoothie’s training and support modules are always evolving.”
